The Ferris Wheel were a UK soul-psychedelic band that only produced one LP. The drummer, Barry Reeves, went on to join Eric Burdon and The Animals. Although not all of the songs on this LP are very strong, there are some sleepers. Particularly, “I Can’t Break The Habit” is a lost psychedelic classic, with twiddling reverb-heavy flutes, power chords, drum fills and great vocals. Their sounds brings to mind Sly and the Family Stone, with Carla Thomas and Oscar Brown Jr. on vocals. This is a very unique, obscure psych LP that collectors would be wise to purchase before it disappears. It is worth purchasing for the title track alone.
